Digital Rebel XTi
Canon’s announced the new Digital Rebel XTi. Count me in.
According to the whitepaper:
- New 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor
- Bigger, brighter LCD (2.5 inches, up from 1.8 inches)
- Double the burst buffer: can take 27 JPEGs or 10 RAWs before needing to slow down
- 9-point diamond autofocus, identical to the 30Ds
- Hardware dust removal (piezoelectric vibrations in the IR filter attached to the sensor)
- Software dust removal (appends an error frame to the captured image for later subtraction)
MRSP is about $100 more than the Digital Rebel XT’s former price point, which (as of the announcement) was reduced an additional $100. Now, all I need is B&H to list the XTi…
